LET'S PLAY AND REVISE VOCABULARY: "GIVE ME FIVE!"

 HELLO! HELLO! πŸ€©

How are you doing? It's the countdown! ⏳The end of the school year is always stressful and the temperature isn't helping at all  πŸ₯΅

But... teachers are here to help πŸ₯° ⬇️⬇️

Two days ago @teach.and.learn.english shared a post about REVISION GAMES (visit her account to read it) on Instagram and I decided to create a new version of the game called "GIVE ME FIVE" πŸ˜‰. Today 3rd graders have played this game and you can't imagine how much they have loved it! πŸ€©

How to play GIVE ME FIVE ⬇️⬇️

1️⃣ I have created a wheel with the topics I wanted my students to revise. I have used the app "Wheel of names" to create the wheel

2️⃣ I have divided the students in 5 groups and I have given each group a sheet of paper, a pencil and a rubber

3️⃣ It's time to spin the wheel! They have had 1 minute to write 5 words about that topic. I have used the app online-stopwatch to control the time

4️⃣ The speaker of each group has been naming the 5 words. Group 1 has started while the other groups had to pay attention to the words they had written. If they were repeated, they couldn't mention those words when it was their turn. Each correct word meant 1 point.
**Each time a different group has started to name the words, so that each group had the chance to be the first

5️⃣ They have added up the points, but I have made clear that the most important objective was learning new words

➡️ We have played orally and I haven't taken into account the spelling of words. You could play a new version regarding on spelling and giving points if the words are written  correctly

Plus, you can use it to revise contents from other subjects too.

Do you like this game? How would you use it? Let me know in comments
